What can you infer?
During the trial on 1/13/10 the question was asked of Mae Tuck; "did you tell the stranger that you were teaching Winnie Foster to ride a horse?" Mae Tuck responded "no." Winnie Foster stated in her testimony that she was " not kidnapped, but that the Tuck's were teaching her to ride a horse." Besides the obvious that someone is lying; what can you infer from the difference in the testimony to the same question?

Both are lying, Because that even though in the book it had said Mae Tuck lie to the stranger that she was teaching Winnie how to ride a horse, We all know that after Winnie got kidnapped, they tock her to their house.
ReplyDeleteThe truth everyone is hiding is that Winnie did get kidnap but after that she had became friends with the Tuck family, and now she is lying her way out to help her new friends. Of corse Mae Tuck or the other members of the Tuck family would lie out to help Mae Tuck.
I can infer that both witnesses are lying because they both answered different questions and because they both are answering different answers for the questions that they were both asked.
ReplyDeletei think that juror 21 is wrong because in the trail jessie tuck said the tucks threw winnie to the horse and that wasn't a lie. also i can infer that mae might be lying but i'm not sure because mae really wasnt ansering the questions but i belive the other tucks wouldnt lie
ReplyDeleteI think that Winnie Foster is lying, because in " Tuck Everlasting," Mae Tuck grabbed Winnie Foster when she was about to drink the water the water from the spring. Winnie Foster sayed that Mae Tuck was teaching her to ride the horse, when she wasn't. So that's why Mae Tuck is telling the truth and Winnie isn't.
ReplyDeleteI think Juror 6, is wrong because this is not about how they got on to the horse but how they say where they are going.
ReplyDeleteI argee with juror 3 because they were both asked if Mae Tuck told the stranger that she was teaching Winnie to ride a horse. They answered in different answers. Also Jesse did say that they threw Winnie on the horse. That is a fact it came from the book.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with Juror21 because Winnie said that she was not kidnapped. Also how does Juror 21 know that everyone is hiding something? Is it their answers? Or is it the way they answer their answers?
ReplyDeleteI think Winnie Foster is lying, because she said that she and the Tucks is friends, so I think Winnie is trying to help Mae to not get in jail nad lied. Also, I dont agree to what juror 21 says, because how we know if Winnie did ger kidnapped or not? They still didn't prove that the Tuck kidnapped Winnie.
ReplyDeleteI think that both witnesses are lying because, if they were asked the same questions, and they both had different answers, then that means that either one of them is lying, or both of them are lying and we don't know.
ReplyDeleteI think that Winnie is lying because she was not being taught how to ride a horse
ReplyDeleteI ageed with Juror 21
ReplyDeleteI think that Mae tuck is lying because she said that she was teaching Winnie how to ride a horse but Winnie does'nt even now how to control a hourse. Also is the Tucks stated that they where teaching her how to ride a hourse how come after she was thrown on the hourse they did'nt even talk about hourses? That is why I think that Mae Tuck is lying.
ReplyDeleteI think MAe tuck is lying because she said that she was teaching Winnie how to ride a horse but She wasn't teaching her. Winnis said she felt like being kiddnapped but why would Mae Tuck teach her how to ride a horse when she was felling Kiddnapped
ReplyDeleteI think that Mae Tuck is lying because if Winnie said she was being taught how to ride a horse then why did she say that she was feeling like she was being kidnapped. Why would someone feel like she was being kidnapped if that person is learning how to ride a horse. So that means Mae Tuck is lying.
ReplyDeletePlease don't count my old comment. I think Winnie Foster is lying to save Mae Tuck from going to jail. Winnie Foster is lying because she said she was feeling like she was kidnapped. Who feels like they are felling kidnapped if they are being taught how to ride a horse.
ReplyDeleteI can infer that the witness Mae tuck is lying. I think that she is lying because she said in court that she was teaching Mae tuck to ride the horse and winnie said in court that she felt she was being kidnapped and uneasy. Why would Mae tuck say she was teaching winnie to ride the horse and winnie say that she felt she was being kidnapped and uneasy. I think that Mae tuck is lying to protect winnie and winnie is lying to protect mae tuck. Also I do not agree with juror 21 because we don't completely know that winnie got kidnapped but I agree about the fact that the truth every one is hiding is winnie did get kidnapped until she met the tucks and became comfortable around them.
ReplyDeleteThey are both lying because in the book they told the stranger that they are teaching their daughter how to ride a horse, but I think that Winnie said that just to protect Mae from going to jail.
ReplyDeleteMae tuck is lying because Mae tuck said that she sat on the horse but Jesse said that Mae tuck throw Winnie on the horse
ReplyDeleteI think they are lying in a way to help them during the court. Mae Tuck is saying she didnt teach Winnie Foster to ride a horse. Mae Tuck said no. She was probably saying so it doesn't look like they are getting kidnapped.
ReplyDeletei think that Mae Tuck is lying because Jesse said that Mae threw Winnie on the horse, why would anyone throw someone on the horse by teaching them how to ride one?(my point)
ReplyDeletei think mae tuck is a lier you heard that ambieka!!!!!!!!!! i think this because
ReplyDeletejesse stated that mae threw winnnie on the horse anfd then mae stated that she didnt hrough her on the horse then she said that she went by herself but then elaine asked why and she said she didnt know so im calling mae a liar
Okay, I think that both are lying so I agree with juror 21.Also juror 23 has ALOT of spelling mistakes.FIX IT!
ReplyDeletei agree with juror #7 because mae take is saying the tured and winnie is not.
ReplyDeletewhat juror #8 said can be right
